Nic’s dairy-free flapjacks

  • 125 g dairy free spread
  • 125 g demerara sugar
  • 225 g oats
  • 5 tbsp maple syrup
  • Handful of raisins (optional)

How to make it

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan. Stir in the sugar and syrup on a low heat.
  2. Add the oats and raisins if you are using them. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased oven proof dish and use the back of a spoon the press mixture evenly. Bake for 20 minutes in a moderate oven, or until the top is browning.
  4. Cool for 15 minutes and score into squares. Once the flapjacks are cooled completely, turn them out of the dish and serve.
