The bright and friendly cover of this touch and feel board book immediately attracted my attention. This extra thick board book displayed bright and colourful pictures. I paged through the Baby Play Day book with my 3 and ½ month old daughter. The black and white boarders around the pages immediately attracted her attention and kept her focused on every page.
This book is aimed at ages 0+ and I found that my baby really enjoyed it when we “read” this book. What was good is that I could also share this book with my 2 year old as she loved looking at the colourful shapes and pictures in the book. It was a great learning experience for her as she could recognise some of the numbers, letters and shapes in the book.
The parent’s guide at the back was very useful and guided me on what to show my baby and on how to best use the book. This guide was further supported by the material tabs on the side of every page indicating shapes, numbers, etc. I found that the touch and feel pictures was excellent for stimulating my baby’s touch sense. One of the pages even had a mirror which delighted my baby into cooing at herself.
As with the other Priddy Books in our play room library this one also lived up to its promise and not only provides hours of fun and stimulation to my kids, but also offers a great learning/stimulation tool.
