It’s half term in the UK next week, and you know what that means? Lots of fun things going on across the UK for kids! Whether you fancy story time at your local library, a trip to a museum or a day in the life of a Roman, we’ve got some great events to recommend. Why not have a go at some of our featured recipes, have a go at our craft activities or check out our brilliant colouring pages to download and print too?! Have a fab week!

Birmingham – Head down to Centre for the Child at Central Library from 19-26 February for Gigglefest.  They have free events and activities going on every day, including wacky workshops, daft crafts and stand-up comedy for kids. Make sure you reserve your space now!

Dover – Enjoy a day of medieval mischief at Dover Castle. They’ve got lords and ladies telling stories, a medieval quest, and you can even join Knight School for the day!

Edinburgh – Head to your local library for story time for the under fives or pop along to National Museum of Scotland for all sorts of fab events. You can train as a Roman for the day, make a lighthouse or meet some characters from the past.

Liverpool – Liverpool Libraries have got some great activities going on all week for the over fives – from jazzy jewellery making to crazy collage.

London – The South Bank Centre’s annual Imagine Festival is on until the 27th February. The events programme is packed with storytelling, music and dance for kids from 5 to 11 years old. Make sure you book your tickets now.

Newcastle – Pop down to Sevenstories for story telling, quizzes and animal encounters!

Southampton – Get crafty with bunting painting at Southampton Central Library. The bunting will be displayed around the library during Fair Trade Fortnight.

Swansea – Check out your local library for story time, meet some exotic animals at Plantasia, or try your luck at some circus skills with Jimmy Juggles.
