Tom’s Travel Diary – Frankfurt, Germany

Emma and I were at the Frankfurt Book Fair last week – it’s the biggest book fair in the world attracting thousands of publishers from around the world. We were there for four days to meet with publishers that print our books in many different languages. Between us we met with over 90 different publishers. I really enjoy meeting up with my customers at book fairs to see lots of familiar faces as well as new ones. It is great introducing our new books, getting opinions on them as well as discussing exciting new ideas.

The book fair was pretty tiring with back to back meetings but we made sure we explored some of the local sites and tried some traditional German food and local beer. Frankfurt is a city of skyscrapers but also has a wonderful cathedral (Dom) which is well worth a visit – next year I plan to climb the tower! I am looking forward to it already.
