\nWith vigorous testing by children and early-learning experts, winning a\u00a0Practical Pre-School Award is\u00a0really something to be proud of, which is why I\u2019m delighted to report that Priddy Books did extremely well at the award ceremony on Friday, receiving a fantastic six awards! Take a look below for a little bit more about the awards and the breakdown of exactly what we won.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Practical Pre-School Awards, presented annually by trade publication Practical Pre-School Magazine,\u00a0are awarded for outstanding\u00a0books, educational equipment and toys\u00a0for children,\u00a0focusing on products for newborns up to five years old. All products are rigorously\u00a0tested by children and\u00a0childcare and education professionals. The set criteria include scores for appeal to children, durability, educational value, play value and value for money.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gold Award \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Hello Baby Play and Learn
\n<\/em><\/strong>Our Hello Baby Play and Learn books\u00a0scored very highly with the testers, receiving an overall score of 95.6%. The interactive bars on Playtime<\/em>, Numbers<\/em> and Colours<\/em> were a huge hit!<\/p>\n

What the testers said:\u00a0“What beautiful books \u2013 the colours are bright and the illustrations are lovely. The interactive play bars kept even babies’ attention. The attractive illustrations and words encouraged the acquisition of language and older children enjoyed talking and expanding on what they saw. There are lots of everyday words in the book. Good value and the children are still using them.”<\/p>\n

Silver Award \u2013\u00a0Schoolies Storybooks<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe storybooks in our Schoolies range, by Ellen Crimi-Trent, went down really well with children preparing to start school. Making Friends <\/em>and My First Day at School<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/a>scored a fantastic 85.4%.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What the testers said:\u00a0“Great books to read in the summer term as children have started visits to their ‘big’ schools. We felt that the books covered the nervous\/worried feelings perfectly, and helped our children express their worries about transition. Well priced too.”<\/p>\n

Silver Award \u2013 Schoolies: Wipe Clean Books
\n<\/strong><\/em>The wipe clean books in our Schoolies range also received a silver award!\u00a0<\/a>Let’s Get Ready for School <\/em>and Wipe Clean Activity Flash Cards<\/em>\u00a0scored a brilliant 84.4%.<\/p>\n

What the testers said about\u00a0Wipe Clean Let’s Get Ready for School:\u00a0<\/em>“Children 4+ years thoroughly engaged and keen. The variety of pages in the book allowed children to choose an activity according to their confidence level. Great illustrations and covered a wide range of areas if learning \u2013 great talking points! The slot for a pen was a great idea! I was initially worried about children understanding that some books we can write on and some we can’t, but over time they understood.”<\/p>\n

Silver Award \u2013 Hello Baby Board Books<\/strong>
\nAnimals,\u00a0Faces, On the Go\u00a0<\/em>and Words,\u00a0<\/em>our range of Hello Baby Board Books for newborns were awarded a silver award, scoring\u00a080%.<\/p>\n

What the testers said:\u00a0“Amazing chunky board books \u2013 our babies loved them. It was easy for them to turn the pages and each page had pictures set on a black or white background, which was very visually stimulation. They were appealing to children and the books were well constructed so would stand up well to the wear and tear of little hands.”<\/p>\n

Bronze Awards \u2013\u00a0Schoolies My School Day <\/em>and<\/strong> School<\/strong><\/em> House<\/strong>
