It\u00a0is always nice to get asked to go\u00a0and present our new titles to the Macmillan team in South Africa at their conference in Johannesburg, and then go on the road to present to the booksellers of Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.<\/p>\n

So leaving the\u00a0cold,\u00a0grey days of London\u00a0in February behind Sally and I\u00a0flew out on the Sunday night and arrived into the sunshine of South Africa on the Monday morning. What followed was a whirlwind tour from city to city before flying\u00a0out on the following Saturday… but I am not even going to attempt to say it was\u00a0a\u00a0gruelling trip – to meet such an enthusiastic audience who have always liked and supported our list gave us all the adrenalin that we needed, plus\u00a0the warm days, sunshine and good food helped too!<\/p>\n

There cannot be many places on the planet where the booksellers and public are so keen and positive about children’s books – the bookstores in South Africa are truly wonderful, and completely loaded with our Priddy books as you can see below.<\/p>\n
