Yet again Priddy Books has done extremely well at the Practical Pre-School Awards, picking up 5 awards, including the Books and Publications Award for Sing-along Songs!
These coveted awards are presented annually by trade publication Practical Pre-School magazine and sister magazine, 5-7 Educator. They identify and reward excellence in books, educational equipment, childcare products and toys for children from birth to eight years old.ย All products are marked based on tests by children and childcare professionals. The set criteria include scores for appeal to children, durability, educational value, play value and value for money.
The awards ceremony was held on Friday and Nat and Holly went along to pick up the awards and check out the competition!
Look how well we did and have a read of some of theย great things the testers said about our books:

Make and Do: Cook & Craft
‘The books are great, they contain lovely ideas, and the children could easily follow along themselves. The pictures were clear and precise. It is very well-made, and sturdy, with the stand keeping the book upright. It is also easy to wipe off any mess made in the process. The children had great fun deciding what they wanted to make next.’

Lift-the-Flap Shadow Books: At the Zoo & In the Town
‘The children loved these books; they are still the first books they pick up. The shadows are a great idea for older children. The books covered a broad spectrum of topics that stimulated conversation, so helped personal and social development, as well as language and literacy skills.’
Practical Pre-School Silver Award
Wipe Clean Workbooks: Numbers, Tracing and Pen Control, Lowercase Alphabet and Uppercase Alphabet
‘Brilliant! The wipe clean idea saved photocopying. The books were educational, and the interesting, brightly coloured images held the children’s attention. They can be used individually and as a group activity, and are good fun, while teaching core EYFS skills.’
5 to 7 Educator Silver Award
Big and Busy: How Things Go
‘The children really enjoyed the books and finding out where things come from. They especially enjoyed the interactive element of ‘lift the flap’, as it allowed them to guess where materials came from, keeping the book fun while learning at the same time.’
